About Me

International environments go beyond being mere spaces filled with diverse individuals. To me, they represent a place where everyone with a diasporic background can truly feel at home. Having attended international schools since I was five and growing up in an Egyptian family in Denmark, my international school quickly became a second home.

As a teacher, one of my ongoing goals is to foster such an environment for students seeking belonging. I have personally witnessed the academic and social advantages that international settings offer students. They also create valuable opportunities to integrate global perspectives into the classroom, enhancing skills like critical thinking and understanding multiple viewpoints.

In my favorite subject, Social Studies, I enjoy drawing connections between concepts to show students how interconnected all disciplines are and the importance of understanding topics on a nuanced level.

Teaching Philosophy

I see the teacher's role as one that inspires, sparks imagination, and fosters a love for learning. Creating a strong community and a collaborative atmosphere within the classroom is vital for developing confident learners who can support each other.

I believe that utilizing inquiry-based, project-based learning, and transdisciplinary methods in the classroom equips students with the skills necessary for success in the 21st century. My goal is to implement strategies that cultivate knowledgeable, critical thinkers who are responsible and engaged members of society, ultimately shaping them into contributing global citizens.
